Born March 7th, 1995, Reshea Devonne Alberts was the firstborn child of Pasot James Alberts and the oldest girl in a line of 10 children for Pastor and 1st Lady Alberts. Reshea was every bit as energetic and passionate about God as her father and you hardly ever saw him without her by his side. Her humble heart and bright disposition were a light to wherever she went. She was married to her longtime highschool sweetheart Eric Johnson and the two recently celebrated the both of their baby girl, Autumn Marie Johnson, on October 14, 2020. On Nov 1, 2020 Reshae suffered a blood clot to the lungs (pulmonary thrombosis) and lost consciousness while at home with her husband and baby. She was not able to be revived.  â€‹We will miss Reshae's powerful presence and her honest love for God, church, and family. We all now look to be a guide for those she left behind and are thankful that a part of her is still with us in baby Autumn. May Reshae rest peacefully in the arms of our Lord and Savior until the time comes that we can see her again.

Aspiring Missionary Ava White
Deacon Charles White

As of January 1, 2021, our own Deacon Charles White and Aspiring Missionary Ava White will be moving from Minnesota to Georgia. Missionary White has already accepted a new nursing position and both are looking forward to the new surroundings and the warm weather. The Higher Ground Church family already misses them but we will pray for their safe journey on their new mission.

We are so blessed and honored to have been a part of their life journey and we are so excited to see what the Lord has in store for them. This is a big move but we should not expect anything less from a Big God.

Higher Ground Church is a part of the Church of God in Christ, a traditional African American pentacostal denomination.  is a predominately African American church in Central Minnesota.

The Church of God in Christ is a pentecostal denomination officially formed in 1907 by the late Bishop Charles H. Mason. Comprised of thousands of churches and millions of members, the church of god in christ is the largest pentecostal denomination in the world, hosting services in every country on every continent. Higher Ground Church is a part of this denomination and shares in its rich history of hand-clapping, foot-stomping, tongue-talking church. With roots that extend into the bible belt south, the spiritual work done to bring the power of the Holy Spirit to St Cloud is long and storied. But, it starts first with the "grand 'ol Church of God in Christ".  If you would like to know more about the Church of God in Christ, click here to reach the national church website.

God Bless. â€‹
